Urgent.. Sultan Al-Afifi gives Abyan agencies 24 hours to arrest the kidnappers of the “Wali”

This evening, unknown gunmen kidnapped Sheikh Muhammad Ali Saleh Al-Wali, head of the Abyan Chamber of Commerce and representative of the Afif family, in front of his house in the city of Jaar in Abyan Governorate.
According to local sources, the kidnapping was carried out by tribal gunmen on board two Tucson and Corolla cars, who took the governor to the Al-Khobar area in the governorate.
In a statement issued by Sultan Nawaf Al-Afifi regarding the kidnapping of Sheikh Muhammad Ali Saleh Al-Wali, head of the Chamber of Commerce in Jaar, Al-Afifi strongly condemned and denounced the incident.
He called on the leadership of Abyan Governorate and the security services to move quickly, search for the whereabouts of the governor, and arrest the kidnappers, holding them responsible for his safety.
Al-Afifi also gave the security authorities in the governorate 24 hours to do their duty, threatening to take defensive measures on behalf of Yafa’s children if his demands were not met.
The background of the incident indicates previous tensions, as sheikhs, notables and leaders of the Maraqish tribes issued a statement indicating the escalation of illegal acts, the latest of which is the case of the kidnapping and disappearance of Ahmed Ali Salem Hafeen Al-Marqashi. The statement explained that Hafeen was sent by the Security Belt in an official course at Sheikh College. Zayed is in the Emirates, and was returned at the request of leaders in the Transitional Council, where he was arrested and hidden.
The sheikhs, notables, and leaders of the Maraqsha tribes demanded the immediate release of Hafeen, holding the security leaders in the Transitional Council fully responsible for his safety, and threatened to take all necessary measures if their demands were not met.
It is worth noting that tribal members from the Maraqish tribe are believed to be behind the kidnapping of Sheikh Al-Wali, who is close to one of the security leaders, with the aim of pressuring the release of Ahmed Hafin Al-Marqashi, the son of the Deputy Director of Security in Abyan Governorate.
