Saudi Arabia launches a project in Yemen with a value of 12 million dollars

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works announced the expectation of a joint cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization to implement the second phase of the Malaria Complex Project in Yemen, on the sidelines of the Fourth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, with a total value of 12 million US dollars.
The agreement was signed by the adviser to the Saudi Royal Court, the general supervisor of the center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al -Rabiah, and the Director General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Edhanom Giprissus.
According to the newspaper "Okaz", this agreement is an extension of the first stage of the project, as the Gulf Cooperation Council countries funded the second stage.
The project includes a large variety of preventive activities that include the distribution of 1,300,000 saturated mosquitoes, and to carry out spray campaigns for more than 500 thousand homes with the remaining impact, in addition to implementing other spray campaigns with a variety of pesticides, buying and providing medicines for adult patients, children and pregnant women with malaria, as well Securing medical consumers for laboratory and investigation activities of all kinds, in addition to supporting the Yemeni National Program with the necessary devices and equipment to address the epidemic.
This agreement comes within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s endeavor through the King Salman Relief Center to support the efforts of international organizations to combat the outbreak of epidemic diseases spread in various countries of the world.
