The Houthis resume their operations against Israeli ships until the Gaza crossings opened

The military spokesman for the Houthi group announced, on Tuesday evening, the resumption of its operations against all Israeli ships in the Red and Arab Bahrain, Bab al -Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, until the opening of the Gaza Strip crossings and the entry of food and medicine. The Houthi statement came after the deadline that the group granted to Israel to enter aid to the Gaza Strip.
In the context, the Houthi government (unrecognized internationally) announced, yesterday, Tuesday, its blessing, the decision of the leader of the group, Abdul -Malik al -Houthi, to start military measures against the Israeli enemy immediately after the deadline ended, noting that "the position of the group's leader is an expression of the initial and fixed position of the Yemeni people towards their brothers in Palestine."
The Minister of Defense in the Houthi government, Major General Mohamed Nasser Al -Atefi, had said earlier yesterday that "their forces are ready to implement the directives of the High Command in supporting the people of Gaza and supporting the Palestinian Mujahideen strongly and effectively," stressing that "their forces are in high readiness and at the level of responsibility entrusted to them."
Abdul -Malik Al -Houthi announced on Friday that the military operations of his group would resume against the Israeli occupation if he was not committed to entering aid to the Gaza Strip. Al -Houthi said: "We announce to the whole world that we will give the brokers a four -day period, and we will resume our maritime operations against the enemy if it does not enter humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip." He stressed that "if the enemy continues after the four -day deadline to prevent the entry of aid to Gaza, and it continues to completely close the crossings, their forces will return to resume maritime operations against him."
Israeli aviation has launched a series of air strikes against the Houthi -controlled areas since last July, targeting vital and military sites, mostly focused on the port of Hodeidah and Ras Issa in western Yemen. Also, the international coalition led by the United States and Britain has launched air strikes since last year and missile attacks on "Houthi sites" in a number of governorates under the group's control, in response to the group's attacks against commercial shipping ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.
Since November 2023, the Houthi group announced its participation in what it called the “Battle of the Promised Fateh and the Bible”, where the group launched attacks by ballistic missiles, the flying flying and marine boats on Israeli, American and British ships in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, as well as targeting the occupied Palestinian territories with missiles and running planes, but that Its attacks stopped with the announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza.
