The Ministry of Finance denies rumors: fees are fixed since 2003 and violations are the responsibility of the foreign

The Ministry of Finance in the capital, Aden, has categorically denied the validity of the information attributed to a diplomatic source at the consulate of the Republic of Yemen in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, regarding the Ministry of Finance imposing any exorbitant financial fees in exchange for approveing official documents and agencies.
An official source in the Ministry of Finance Court confirmed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the ministry did not impose financial fees in violation of the laws and regulations in exchange for the approval of any document or agency, including the commercial attorney, whether at the consulate and embassy of the Republic of Yemen in Cairo or other capitals of brotherly and friendly countries, and that the ministry does not have the right to amend or cancel any established fees in accordance with the law.
The same source also confirmed, that the financial fees approved to ratify the official documents and agencies in the consulates and embassies of Yemen abroad are specified under Cabinet Resolution No. (253) of 2003 AD .. Explaining that administrative issues related to consulates and embassies are within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, and they are the one who undertakes the collection and supply Fees according to the Cabinet’s decision, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs bears the responsibility to implement the decision administratively.
The source expressed his regret and surprise that some activists publish and circulate such false information on social media, as this would cause intention or intent to create confusion for state institutions, at a time when everyone must enhance confidence in state institutions .. calling on everyone not to be drawn behind such allegations and promoting them, and the need to adhere to the investigation of accuracy and credibility and the root of true information from its official sources To avoid falling into the ban and participate in promoting such allegations and lies.
