Lams: The demands of Aden women are an extension of the demands of the local authority four years ago

The Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, received Professor Ahmed Hamed Lams, in his office at the Governorate General Court, today, Tuesday, Mrs. Dina Zorba, representative of the United Nations Women in our country, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting, which was attended by Eng. Ghassan Al -Zamaki, the governor of the provincial sector, was attended to discuss a sentence of issues and challenges facing women in the capital, Aden, including ways to enhance efforts to empower women in economic and administrative aspects, and mechanisms of joint cooperation between the United Nations Women and the relevant government agencies and the local authority, to establish a permanent committee to coordinate and support women issues.
The meeting reviewed the most prominent problems facing women in the capital, Aden, and the basic needs to be provided to enable socially and economically, along with the project of supporting women in our country as a platform for expanding training, qualification and employment opportunities, especially in light of the government deficit to provide jobs.
The meeting touched on the feminist demonstration witnessed by the capital, Aden, on Saturday, and the messages and demands it carried out. In this regard, the governor confirmed to Mals that the demands of Adenian women today are not new, but rather an extension of the demands of the local authority in the capital, Aden four years ago, where the provincial leadership has previously called on the government and the Command Council to put radical solutions to electricity files, wage structures, and currency deterioration.
He pointed out that the local authority supports these demands, which reflect the insistence on achieving justice and sustainable development for Aden and its people, stressing in this context the readiness of the local authority to build a real partnership with international organizations and the private sector to provide sustainable training, rehabilitation and employment opportunities for women in Aden, which reflects the stability and growth of society.
For her part, Mrs. Dina Zorba expressed her happiness in close cooperation with the leadership of the local authority in the capital, Aden, praising the leadership of the leadership and her support for women
Mrs. Zorba stressed: “We are here to listen to the voice of women and work to enable them, and we will continue our efforts in implementing qualitative projects in partnership with the local authorities and relevant authorities, to create a fair and safe environment that enhances the participation of women in public life.”
The two sides agreed, at the end of the meeting, to organize a photo exhibition that documents the history of women and embodies its prominent role in the capital, Aden, in addition to preparing to launch a permanent campaign to advocate for women, including development and awareness projects, and initiatives to involve women in institutional and development work more.
The meeting was attended by Intissar Murshid, Director of the International Planning and Cooperation Office in the capital, Aden, the longing of Mohamed Saad, Director of the General Administration of Women Development at the Governorate General Court, and Misisa Ashish, Director of Training and Rehabilitation at the Governorate General Court.
