The Community Peace Commission in Mukalla organizes an emotional release event for displaced children and the host community

The Community Peace Commission in the city of Mukalla organized, yesterday evening, Friday, an emotional release event for displaced children and the host community, with funding from the Women’s Cultural and Social Hope Foundation and the Peace and Building Foundation in cooperation with Mukalla Park.
The event, which comes within the framework of activities to promote cohesion and peaceful coexistence, witnessed games and drawings for displaced children and the host community with the aim of providing a safe and sustainable environment for all, including displaced children and the host community.
The Vice President of the Community Peace Commission and President of the Hope Foundation, Dr. Abha Baawidan, pointed out that the emotional release activity contributes to providing a safe outlet for displaced children and the host community, to express their feelings, thoughts, and fears in positive ways, and they find motivation for innovation and artistic expression through organized events.
In turn, Member of the Community Peace Commission and General Director of Al-Mukalla Park Company, Mr. Khaled Al-Nahdi, praised the event, which promotes emotional release, understanding, and cooperation between displaced children and the host community, which contributes to enhancing social integration and peaceful coexistence among all, stressing the company’s keenness to contribute to everything that serves Society in all its segments.
At the event, the Executive Director of the Peace and Building Foundation, Mr. Sumaya Al-Sibai, confirmed that the experiences and tragedies that displaced children suffer may have caused psychological trauma for them, and organizing emotional release activities helps to alleviate this trauma and provide psychological and emotional support to these children.
