The American army announces the seizure of a quantity of drugs in the Arabian Sea

American forces announced their interception of a boat with a drug ship in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Yemen.
The Central Central Command said in a statement that the American Coast Guardian patrol ship is working under the leadership of the Joint Task Force 150, which is currently led by New Zealand, intercepted a quantity of 260 kg of illegal drugs from the nineteenth of last March.

She explained that this process comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by the joint naval forces to combat illegal smuggling of drugs and enhance maritime security in international waters.
The joint work squad is 150 is one of the five forces of the joint naval forces, and it aims to deter non -governmental authorities from transporting weapons, drugs and other banned materials through the main waterways, including the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman.
Other work teams include; Joint Labor Squad 151, which leads the regional efforts to combat piracy, and the joint work squad 152, devoted to marine security in the Persian Gulf and the Joint Action Squad 153, responsible for maritime security in the Red Sea, Bab al -Mandab and West Bay of Aden, and the joint work team 154, which was established in May 2023 to enhance the training of maritime security throughout the region.

The road passing through the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman is a famous passage for smuggling hashish, drugs and weapons from Iran to the Houthi militia in Yemen. The joint naval forces previously carried out a number of seizures and confiscation of quantities of hashish, drugs and weapons that were on their way to the Houthis.
