The Yemeni holds the Houthis responsible for bombing its planes and hanging flights to and from Sanaa

Yemeni Airlines in Sana'a, which is subject to the Houthi authority, announced the suspension of all its flights to and from Sanaa International Airport until further notice. This decision comes after an Israeli bombardment targeting the airport and led to its out of service, in addition to targeting three aircraft belonging to the company that was stopped there.
In a related context, the Yemeni Airlines affiliated with the Sharia government issued a statement in which it expressed deep regret over the destruction of its three A320-AFA, A320-AFC and A330-AFE aircraft. The company explained that the planes were present at Sana'a International Airport and was kidnapped by the Houthi group since July 2024, while they were carrying out their human, national and religious duty to transport the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God between Jeddah and Sana'a.
The statement described the destruction of aircraft with the large and heavy loss of the company, which is the only national carrier of Yemen, and has an effective role in alleviating the human suffering of the Yemeni people by providing international transportation. The statement indicated that this loss exacerbates the challenges facing the company due to the use of civilian facilities for military purposes by the Houthi group in Sanaa.
The Yemeni Airlines Command in Aden confirmed that it has repeatedly warned the company’s operators in Sana'a against the continued detention of aircraft, and demanded that they be evacuated and allowed them to leave to Aden airport or any safe international airport, but these claims were rejected. She also pointed to her demand to neutralize the company from political and military conflicts, but to no avail.
The leadership of the Yemeni Airlines held the Houthi militias fully responsible for the deterioration of the situation and the destruction of its planes at Sanaa International Airport.
