Amman explains the details of its mediation between the Houthis and America: It will not target any party for the other in the future

The Sultanate of Oman issued an explanation about its recent mediation efforts between the Houthi group and the United States of America, confirming that an agreement is to stop the mutual targeting between the two parties.
The clarification came by a spokesman for the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by the Skop 24 editor, who confirmed that the contacts and discussions conducted by the Sultanate with the American side and the relevant authorities in Sanaa, with the aim of reducing the escalation in Yemen, resulted in this important agreement.
According to the Omani statement, the agreement clearly stipulates the commitment of the two parties to a ceasefire between them, in addition to refraining from targeting any party for the other in the future. This includes the Houthis' confirmation of stopping the targeting of American ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al -Mandab strait, which aims to ensure freedom of navigation and the smoothness of the international commercial shipping movement.
The Sultanate of Oman expressed its appreciation for the constructive approach that the two parties showed, which led to this agreement, which it described as the welcome. She also expressed her aspiration that this positive development contributes to achieving further progress in addressing other regional issues, and to serve the region's aspirations towards justice, peace and prosperity.
