Al -Dhalea Governorate acknowledges the opening of the road to Sana'a for humanitarian and commercial reasons

The local authority in Al -Dhalea Governorate announced the opening of the road linking Al -Dhalea and the capital, Sana'a, in a move aimed at facilitating the movement of goods and travelers, after the damage to the port of Hodeidah due to the military escalation, and the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis in the areas of the Houthi group control.
A local source said that the decision came with humanitarian and commercial reasons, with the aim of reducing pressure on alternative corridors, and accelerating the delivery of basic materials from Aden port to the northern governorates, in light of an urgent need to open more effective and less expensive supply channels.
The source emphasized that opening the road will contribute to reviving the commercial movement within the governorate of Al -Dhalea, and it will have a direct positive impact on its residents by stimulating markets and creating new job opportunities, in addition to reducing the cost of transportation and speeding the movement of exchange between the governorates.
Citizens and observers welcomed the step, considering that it reflects a growing sense of national and human responsibility, calling for the circulation of these initiatives in the rest of the governorates, especially in the Abyan governorate, where there is still a closed route, and it constitutes great suffering for civilians.
Community activities called on the relevant authorities in other governorates to take similar decisions, and to raise the restrictions imposed on vital roads, in order to ensure the right of citizens to move and support efforts to alleviate the living crisis that strikes the country.
