Al -Muharrami emphasizes the central role of the United States in enhancing our country's capabilities to face challenges

Member of the Presidential Command Council, Commander Abdul Rahman Al -Muharrami, stressed the importance of the pivotal role of the United States of America in supporting legitimacy and enhancing the capabilities of our country in facing security and economic challenges and addressing the terrorist threats posed by the Iranian -backed Houthi militia.
This came during his meeting today, through a visual contact with the ambassador of the United States of America in Yemen, Stephen Vagin, where the prospects for strengthening and developing bilateral relations were discussed at all levels, especially security and military cooperation, anti -terror areas, coast guard areas, international marine corridors, deterring terrorist Houthi attacks on navigation lines and commercial shipping ships.
The meeting reviewed the developments of the situation on the national and regional arenas, the current economic and humanitarian challenges in our country, in addition to the ongoing efforts to support the comprehensive reforms program, and to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement authorities, in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens and improving living and economic stability.
Al -Muharrami expressed our country's aspiration to double international support, especially the American, in the economic and development fields, in a way that enhances the stability of the national currency, and supports the urgent government priorities in the service sectors, in a way that reduces the suffering of citizens in light of the exceptional circumstances the country is going through. Appreciating the constant American positions in supporting the Presidential Command Council and the government, Washington's keenness to protect regional security, drying the sources of terrorist financing, and prohibiting Iranian -smuggled Iranian weapons of the Houthi militia.
For his part, American Ambassador Stephen Wagin renewed the emphasis on his country's fixed and supportive position of our country, its security and stability, and its commitment to continuing joint work with the Presidential Command Council and the government, to confront the current challenges, the success of peace endeavors, and to enhance security and stability in Yemen and the region.
