Liverpool lost 3-1 to Chelsea today, Sunday, at Stamford Bridge, in a meeting held in the 35th round of the English Premier League 2024-2025. 

This defeat came after the coronation of the Reds in the league title after his overwhelming victory over Tottenham Hotspur (5-1) last week.

Enzo Fernandez opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 3th minute after a careful pass from Nito, shaking the net with an elegant touch that exceeds the Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Baker.

In the 56th minute, Chelsea increased progress to 2-0 after a strange goal by friendly fire, as Virgil van Dyck tried to address a cross, but she wore from his colleague Jarily Kwansah to enter the net.

Liverpool tried to restore consideration, and in the 84th minute, Van Dyck scored an honorary goal with a strong header to reduce the difference to 2-1. 

But hope did not last long, as Chelsea got a penalty kick in the 90+4 minute after obstructing inside the area, so that Cole Palmer would take it brilliantly in the 90+6 minute and confirm his team's victory.

Liverpool, who previously settled the title, stopped its score at 82 points, while Chelsea jumped to fifth with 63 points.
