Raise the Kaaba clothing in preparation for the Hajj season

The General Authority for Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque raised the lower part of the Kaaba clothing by 3 meters, as part of the ongoing preparations to receive the Hajj season for the year 1446 AH.
The process includes deciphering the lower parts, separating the pillars, raising the cladding and installing them at an altitude of 3 meters, then installing the white fabric and returning the jellyfish to their places, according to the Saudi News Agency (SPA).
This annual procedure comes in the context of preserving the integrity of the cladding and protecting it from contact or damage, especially during the density of circumambulation and the extreme approach to the Kaaba during the Hajj season.
The lifting process took place with the participation of specialized teams, according to accurate procedures that take into account the sanctity of the place and the highest safety and professional standards.
The part raised with a white cotton cloth is covered with two meters wide from all sides, and it is usually followed annually, reflecting the exact organization and integrated preparations to receive pilgrims.
