A journalist affiliated with the Associated Press stated that the shooting and shells of an Israeli tank were heard when the Palestinian crowds attempted to reach a center that was opened to distribute aid in the southern Gaza Strip. There was no immediate news about any injuries.

The office held Israel direct responsibility for "the state of food collapse in Gaza, the use of aid aid and a political extortion tool", calling on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to "move immediately to stop this crime and open the crossings urgently and without restrictions."

On the other hand, Israel accuses the Hamas movement repeatedly by seizing the aid that passes to the Gaza Strip, which the movement denies. Israel confirms that the new mechanism aims to prevent Hamas from controlling that aid.
