Marib confrontations .. In storming the Presidential Guard camp abolishes the truce and restores the clashes to the field of confrontation

In a sudden and unexpected development, the Ma'rib Governorate witnessed a severe security escalation yesterday night after news of the storming of forces of the army, security and local resistance to the Presidential Guard site in the province, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries from both sides, and led to the collapse of a truce that had been reached by tribal mediation between the conflicting parties.
According to what was revealed by the social activist "Abu Mishaal Al -Muradi", quoting one of the elders participating in mediation efforts, the truce that was agreed upon last night under the auspices of tribalism had already started implementation, after "Bin Jalal" - who leads one of the military fronts - agreed to ask him for a ceasefire until the tenth of Eid Al -Fitr.
The source pointed out that the elements of “Bani Ubaidah” who participated in the implementation of the truce items began to withdraw from their sites, in a move aimed at calming the situation and respect for the efforts made by the tribal brokers.
But these efforts received a painful blow when large military reinforcements entered into the field consisting of more than 20 armored security forces, the army and resistance, as it stormed the Presidential Guard camp under the leadership of Brigadier "Saeed bin Maili", and seized it by force, in a process described by witnesses and mediators as "treachery and betrayal".
The source emphasized that the camp and its forces remained neutral throughout the escalation period, and did not interfere in any of the battles between the parties, which makes this attack as a direct targeting of state institutions and hitting the reconciliation endeavors at the core.
Abu Mishaal Al -Muradi added that this storming led to the violent re -flammation of the clashes, as Brigadier Saeed bin Maili immediately moved with military and tribal reinforcements with the aim of restoring the camp, which led to violent confrontations that are still continuing until the moment of writing the news.
He pointed out that the forces of Bin Maili were able to restore a large part of the camp, at a time when human losses are estimated at hundreds of two sides, without an official clarification of the victims until now.
The spokesperson for the tribes participating in the mediation said that these developments are clear evidence of the lack of sincerity of some parties to reach a peaceful solution, stressing that what happened is a dangerous indication of the existence of stained goals behind these moves, and he knows their truth except God.
Al -Muradi also stressed that these events refute all the accounts that promote the targeting of "outlaw elements", noting that talking about such an excuse is nothing more than an attempt to package the facts and conceal the real beneficiaries of escalation.
The activist called on the tribes and social figures in Marib to move quickly and pressure all parties to correct the path, and stop what he described as "slipping towards strife", stressing that targeting the presidential guards camp appointed by a Republican decision is a flagrant violation of the state’s authority and institutions.
These developments coincide with the escalation of political and security tensions in the province, which raises fears of the slipping of the situation towards a more complex stage, especially in the absence of a clear absence of the official and regulatory role.
