Corella and Bin Aziz are discussing military cooperation between Yemen and the United States

General Michael Erik Corella, commander of the US Central Command, met the team of small Hammoud bin Aziz, head of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, as part of his tour in the Middle East, which lasted from 1 to 5 April.
The two sides discussed during the meeting that took place in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, joint efforts to confront regional threats, especially the hostile activities of the Iranian -backed Houthi gang, in addition to the ongoing operations to protect the freedom of maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al -Mandab.
These talks come in the context of a tour conducted by Korella that included Jordan, Qatar, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, during which he met a number of senior military officials, with the aim of enhancing security cooperation and expanding defense partnerships between the United States and the countries of the region.
