A frightening escalation of deaths with dengue fever in Aden and the southern governorates

The city of Aden and a number of governorates of the south witness an unprecedented wave of dengue outbreak, which led to a worrying increase in the number of deaths and injuries.
Local medical sources reported that hospitals are recorded daily dozens of critical cases, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
Doctors emphasized that the speed of the spread of mosquitoes that transmit the disease, in addition to the weak control efforts, exacerbated the health crisis in various directorates.
For their part, citizens and human rights organizations appealed to the government and the competent authorities to intervene urgently to contain the health catastrophe, demanding the launch of the mosquito pesticide spray campaigns and the provision of the necessary medical care.
In light of the continued deterioration of the situation, health experts warn of the possibility of the situation out of control unless immediate and firm measures are taken to limit the spread of the disease and save lives.
